Matthew's Mind

Your wings already exist. All you have to do is fly.

The first expression (“I have to…”) is a language of obligation. Nothing wrong with obligation or accountability. But a lot of times, “I have to…” becomes negative. It becomes the language of a victim who’s lost control and is being forced to do something.

The second expression (“I get to…”) confers empowerment. When you get to do something, you’re privileged and you’re coming from a place of positivity and opportunity. The change is one word, but it’s enormous.

So today I’ll quickly share my morning routine (including links for more detail). Hopefully insight into my life can give you something to steal and gain from.
